Fuel
Total length, m
Including a caravan or trailer — it's the length of the whole outfit that counts.
Weight
Tolls price by weight, not length — the heavy rate is roughly 2.5× the normal one. A motorhome over 3.5 t registered as M1 (most are) pays the normal rate with an AutoPASS tag and agreement; without Norwegian plates, ask your tag issuer to set it up.
Norway · AutoPASS
A tag gives 20 % off tolls (up to 3.5 t) and 10 % off ferries. A prepaid ferry card gives 50 % off the ticket for private customers, 40 % for businesses.

The map shows sights and places to visit in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, each with a photo and its distance from the centre of the map. Open one and tap «Add» to see what the drive there costs: fuel, tolls, bridges and ferries.

The whole bill before you set off, in four countries and across their borders: fuel, every toll station, congestion charge and bridge at the rate for your vehicle and your hour, and every ferry we have a fare for — for a car, an electric car, a motorhome or a motorcycle. Free, no account.

How to find sights near you

If you let your browser share your location, the map opens where you are. If not, tap «Use my location» under «Near me», or move the map yourself. The list below the map shows the sights on the map and up to 100 km beyond its edges, five to start with; «Show more» adds more. Use − and + to change that distance in 50 km steps, from 50 up to 400 km.

«Best» puts the top places first, «Distance» the nearest. Each place shows a photo, its name and how far away it is. «Details» opens a bigger photo and a line about the place, and «Add» makes it your destination: Roadme then works out what it would cost to drive there in your car from where you start.

Where the places come from

In Norway the list comes from our own guide: fjords and scenic routes, stave churches and museums, waterfalls, mountains and beaches, each with a photo. Where our guide has places nearby, the list shows only those; the other sights stay on the map in grey, and a line under the list says how many there are. For any place from our guide, «Open in Gowme» takes you to Gowme, our trip planner for Norway, which has its description and practical details; the line under the button says when they are paid.

In Sweden, Denmark and Finland – and wherever our guide has nothing nearby – the sights come from Wikidata, the free database behind Wikipedia. There, «Best» puts the best-known places first. The photos come from Wikimedia Commons, with the licence, and usually the photographer, credited under each one.

Several sights in one trip – and what it costs

Enter your starting point, then add the places you want to see. The first becomes your destination; «+ Add a stop» makes room for the next. Once you have two or more stops, «Optimise the order» sorts them for you. The calculator adds up the whole drive: fuel at each country's price, every toll station and bridge, and every ferry we have a fare for.

Planning a longer trip with many stops? The route planner explains how the order is chosen. Need fuel? The nearest stations are on Gas stations near me.

Tap «Use my location» under «Near me», or move the map. The list shows the sights on the map and up to 100 km around it, best first; tap «Distance» to put the nearest first.

Does it work outside Norway?

Yes, in Sweden, Denmark and Finland too. There the sights come from Wikidata, with photos from Wikimedia Commons. In Norway most of them come from our own guide.

Can I plan a trip with several sights?
